Getting Started

How do I create my first brew?

After signing in, tap "Explore Brews" on the home screen. Browse available wellness programs, select one that aligns with your goals, and tap "Start Brew." Your personalized program will begin immediately with today's activities.

What are "ingredients"?

Ingredients are the individual activities that make up your daily wellness routine within a brew. They can include exercise, mindfulness, nutrition tracking, sleep goals, and more. Each day, you'll complete different ingredients as part of your multi-day program.

How long does a brew last?

Brew durations vary based on the program. Most brews run for 7-30 days. You can view the duration before starting a brew, and you can always end or switch brews if your goals change.

Apple Health Integration

How do I connect Apple Health?

To enable Apple Health syncing:

  1. Open by-day and go to Settings
  2. Tap "Apple Health"
  3. Choose which health data categories to share
  4. Grant permissions when prompted

What health data does by-day access?

by-day can sync activity data, mindfulness minutes, sleep patterns, heart rate, and other metrics—but only categories you explicitly authorize. You control which data is shared and can revoke access at any time through the Health app.

Is my health data private?

Yes, absolutely. Your health data never leaves your device unless necessary for app functionality. We never sell or share your health data with third parties. Read our Privacy Policy for details.

Account & Subscription

How do I manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. To view or cancel your subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap "Subscriptions"
  4. Select by-day from the list

Can I use by-day on multiple devices?

Yes! Sign in with the same account on all your iOS devices. Your progress, brews, and settings will sync automatically across devices.

How do I delete my account?

To permanently delete your account and data:

  1. Open by-day and go to Settings
  2. Scroll to "Account"
  3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. Confirm your decision

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently removed.

Troubleshooting

The app is crashing or freezing

Try these steps:

  1. Force quit the app and reopen it
  2. Restart your device
  3. Check for app updates in the App Store
  4. Ensure you're running iOS 15 or later

If the issue persists, please contact support with details about when the crash occurs.

My progress isn't syncing

Ensure you have:

  • A stable internet connection
  • Granted the app necessary permissions in Settings
  • The latest version of the app installed

Try signing out and back in to force a sync.

Push notifications aren't working

Check that:

  1. Notifications are enabled for by-day in iOS Settings → Notifications
  2. Do Not Disturb mode is not blocking notifications
  3. You've allowed notifications when prompted by the app
